"Angels have a special work and ministry in the lives of Christians. Angels are all around us, care for us and ministering to us even when we are not aware of their presence. God also sent angels to bring His message to guide us in our ministry. (Acts 8:26)
Our name, The Marianite Rosary Guild of Kingwood, Texas was established in October 1998 by Mary Ann Brown and JoAnna Loup along with one of our long standing members, Marie Hubbard. Our rosary guild began with 11 members and has now grown to over 40 members from St. Martha, St. Mary and other parishes. Our mission rosaries have been distributed to people in our area as well as to ministries around the country and around the world. We are devoted rosary makers and we hand make between 800-2,600 per month.
Our Rosary Guild is a non-profit ministry and we are self funded by our members. Donations which are urgently needed go directly towards purchasing more bead supplies to make more rosaries and these are distributed monthly to many different ministries.
What is our purpose? The Rosary Guild members handcraft hundreds of mission rosaries each month. They are intended for special occasions such as Baptisms, Confirmations, weddings, funerals, hospitals, etc... Twine rosaries may be requested in bulk. Please contact us for more information if you wish to order rosaries.
What have we done in the past? Our most recent distributions have been to the Armed Forces in Iraq, Katrina and Rita victims that survived the storm in Houston, and for Baptisms, Confirmations, First Holy Communions, Weddings and to other ministries or groups around Houston and Kingwood.
[We also repair wire rosaries that have been damaged or broken through years of use]
Our Mission Statement:To bring souls to Jesus through Mary's rosary and to teach the life of Christ through the rosary prayers.
For more information about our, rosaries, orders, donations, meeting dates, membership, earning confirmation hours, please contact Gilda Womack, Rosary Guild Coordinator at 281-989-4241 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would like to become a member and help us make rosaries, we meet every 2nd Sunday of the month and the 2nd and 4th Wednesday as well. We can teach you how to make a rosary and you are welcome to make rosaries at our meetings and help seal them or you can make rosaries at home and bring them to our meetings and pick up supplies as needed. Most of our members make rosaries at home.
Students are Welcome! Students can earn confirmation hours making rosaries at our meetings. Contact us to schedule your hours.
